Management Recommendations |
- Pens should
have adequate bunk space for all calves to eat.
- Water tanks should be clean and properly working
- Place waters along the fence line. New arrival calves will
walk
the fence lines and this will encourage water intake
- Calves should have access to long-stem grass hay New
arrival
calves will consume .5 to 1% of body weight as feed the
first
week & 1.5 to 2% the second week
- Utilize Suther’s Calf Booster Tub S8074 at a rate of one
tub per
50 calves placed at the rear of each receiving pen
